Through his over thirty-five years of professional experience, Scott Kurland has gained a reputation for his unique problem solving approach to projects for interior and architectural projects for his business and residential clients. He is experienced in designing for a broad range of clients by integrating his understanding and sensitivity to his client’s needs with his multi-faceted design talents and project management abilities. And for the last eight years Mr. Kurland has expanded his attention to include the custom design of private homes for select clients.
Moreover, Mr. Kurland is recognized for his special design talents in numerous design awards, such as the Hexter Award for the Interior of the Year, the Award of Excellence by the Broadcast Design Association, and an Emmy Award for the Design of a CBS-TV news set. In addition, many of Mr. Kurland’s projects have appeared as cover stories and feature articles in different professional publications, including Interior Design, Interiors, Professional Office Design, Real Estate Forum, and Crain’s NY Business.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Mr. Kurland served as Interior Architect in two of the country’s largest and most prestigious architectural firms: Skidmore, Owings and Merrill; and Swanke, Hayden, Connell Architects. He has designed and managed diverse assignments including numerous corporate, retail & medical facilities and residential projects.
